I’d like to announce that Sunday, November 8, marks my 46th year above ground.

I saw the moon landing, the original airing of Star Trek, and the first national broadcast of Sesame Street (hard to say if Maria or Uhura was my first love).  It was in my childhood that TV broadcasting changed over to color.

Travel by jet was still fairly new, passenger rail travel was still common.  I remember cross country road trips where freeways were still incomplete for long stretches.

Vietnam and the Cold War were at their height.  And the future seemed both grim and bright at the same time.

Cheers!

Happy Birthday, I’m 8 months older and it was definitely Uhura, not Maria for me. I have noticed other parallels between us when I read your comments. I wish you good luck in the future.
