Hi, folks! Luna here! This seems like a good time to explain a couple of things. Like what I was doing in a club and how old I really am. TMI is set in Vancouver, Washington, but any strip joints are in Oregon. And while the drinking age in Oregon is 21, there are maybe a handful of “gentlemens clubs” that don’t serve alcohol and allow people as young as 18 to enter. Some dancers even voice a preference for these clubs since they almost never have to deal with drunks. – And, yes, I am 18. I was 16 back when you first met me, but the timing for that was never exact. And if you recall, back in April 2009, right after my parents got killed, I noted being 17. Strictly by a real-time calendar I’d be 19 by now, but the comic story lines are running about a year behind. Unfortunately, between Obaki’s stroke, Carly running off to France, Ace and Jaz breaking up, and the fire . . . – . . . I DIDN’T GET A PARTY!!!

Having lived in Portland, OR, I will gladly testify that there are strip clubs that lawfully cater to the under 21 crowd.
I know about Jiggles in Tualatin, but that’s it. Are there a lot of others? I’d assume they all allow smoking though. I hate the smell of alcohol and I have bad asthma, so strip clubs have been verboten for me for a while.
You forget, Transkaren: Portland is like the strip club capitol of the country. There are tons of clubs throughout the city. Actually, if you really want to find a specific type of club, all you need to do is go into a porn shop (another thing that you shouldn’t have any trouble locating in Portland) and ask the employee. Odds are good that they’ll know about every club in the area.
Smoking indoors in restaurants, bars, anything is illegal in most if not all of Oregon. So you don’t have to worry about that in an all ages club or anywhere for that matter.
There are several all ages clubs around here, not just Jiggles. If I recall there is something called Sugar Shack, and at least at one time it was all ages. Golden Dragon. There are enough to make this story line very plausible. I live here and have gone through the rites of passage of taking your 18 year old friends out to one of these “Juice Bars” many a time. It was weird when actual Juice places became popular around here, because juice bar always meant 18 and over strip club to us.
