Washington State is a Motor Voter state, meaning that you can register to vote at the same time as you get or renew your drivers license or state ID. That was last November for me, and I was sent a primary ballot.

I should be able to count on being registered, right?

Good thing I checked, because I just found out that Washington’s web site for checking one’s voting status didn’t have me on the list. Well, I did neglect to send in my primary ballot, and other minor elections this year, but I don’t think I really met any criteria for being dropped from the rolls. I am receiving state benefits, so it’s likely I’d not vote Republican.

Fishy, no?

Well, I’ve re-registered.
