An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
She also forgot that while she gets some intel on his actions, Luna is right there watching him. He is not as fast about putting the pieces together as Luna but given time and a subject in which he has an interest (and we already know he does research his mother) he will find the evidence and details to support his conclusions. Were I running an intel gathering team, I’d want both of them on my team always. And by that I mean paid, working or not. The intuitive leaps and the ability to deep dive after information would be too useful. And I’d make certain all projects met Ace’s ethics. That would come under the category of don’t pass your best people off.
Just noticed that while Ace was rattling off what his mother was involved in he let slip all three programs and therefore real-world series on which they are based. The Gate Program (Stargate), a distant site codemaned Mu (SG Andromeda), and a ship called Calliope (SG Universe).
Well done to catch every reference.
What sticks in my mind is a bit more meta.
“The gate program is real” implies the fictional version is common knowledge, as though there really is a TV series called “Stargate SG1” in this universe, closely paralleling a real gate program (probably without the same people as the show’s cast) in the same mountain base as in the show. That is either a brilliant misdirection or a humongous security failure.

Gina would probably assume she knows her own son better than does a half-sister he only met for the first time about a year or so ago.
It might not have been a correct assumption, but it’s a pretty natural one.
