Peach: OK. Let's get started on that Captain's briefing. Give me the high points and we'll worry about details later.
Ace: Oh! Right! Well, starting from when you two screamed and passed out-
Peach: We what?!
X: In front of Sky?
Peach: My poor baby!
X: At least you were there for her. That must have been a bad shock.
Ace: You're doting parents, all right. I think she handled it better than I did. So, back to the recap. I wanted to go looking for help, but Sky pointed out that she knew her way around and I didn't. Once she was gone, the K'Sel leader came up on the holoscreen and we had a nice chat. She wanted me to give the ship to them, but she said it in such a way that there was no way I'd consider it. It turns out the dual holoscreens are also control interfaces, but with much lower access. So while we were talking, I was able to confirm there was a countdown and re-start it, but not what it was for, and then I killed their power and communications as well. The state the Dilmun module is in may be my fault. Sky came back with some equipment and your Cousin Farah.
Peach: That doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
Ace: Turns out you've been underestimating your cousin. While Sky was using environmental ducts and crawl-ways to get to her lab, Farah tried to enlist me in helping her take control. She wanted me to believe she'd uncovered a conspiracy and that the K'Sel were as much victims of it as anyone else. After Sky transported us the rest of the way to her lab-
Peach: Transported?! Transporter transported? I'd have thought they'd be off-line.
Ace: She said the one in her lab was independent of the main system.
X: Lab? Well, now we know how she's been getting past us when it's after her bed-time.
Ace: Isn't she technically an adult now? She said she's passed her maturity reviews.
Peach: Until she physically matures, we still have some say in the matter.
Ace: Maybe I should stop before I get her into more trouble.
Peach: Are you kidding? Don't tell her, but we couldn't be more proud.
X: Using a transporter to nick out past our parents never occurred to us.
Peach: She didn't say anything about rocket fuel, did she?
Ace: Just that she wasn't allowed to make any. The strongest chemical I saw was the methanol she uses for cleaning.
X: Heh. Rocket fuel.
