An online comic about Ace. A young geek that's too nice for his own good. All he wants is a regular life and a regular girlfriend. But he knows that isn't going to happen. – CGI – Adult situations. Artistic nudity. Not suitable for children or Fundies.
Ron: I don't doubt it. I understand that you sent a couple of NSA agents packing this morning.
Ace: They showed up pretending to know things they didn't, then started asking questions about you, Mom, and what-ever your project is. I told them that they were in “neither confirm nor deny” territory. I told them to come back when they had someone with actual need to know, which would probably be someone that already knows. You didn't get all that?
Ron: Not all of it. The house monitoring is set up to preserve your privacy. It only alerts on certain sounds like breaking glass or raised voices. And some keywords. So we got everything after North Korea was mentioned. Those two are known conspiracy nuts. Don't let them hassle you. They don't have the authority they pretend to. The real problem is that someone keeps stepping in to keep them from being disciplined. But, they're nothing to really worry about.
Ace: Tarent made a couple of veiled threats on the way out. Empty ones, I think. Akane works for you, so I doubt he really can have her fired and sent home. But I am still concerned. They knew that Akane and I were the only ones home. But what really bugs me is that they have almost no digital footprint.
Ron: Digital what?
Ace: I was able to confirm their IDs, circumspectly, of course. But they have no digital records that I can turn up. It's not unusual for anyone to use a fake name or handle on the Internet, but there's nothing anywhere with either of their names at all. No “hometown news releases” about promotions or accomplishments. I found you in your high school yearbook and college graduation announcements, but not them. And you know how hard it is to stay off of mailing lists, and how once you're on one you're on them all. Nothing there either. I can't even tell IF they have a credit rating.
