Maggie: So, Rocky, something I don't get. You just said you were a dyke. But Maddie told me you were marrying your boyfriend. Doesn't that mean you're NOT a lesbian now?
Rocky: It's still part of my identity, I guess. I still like women. But I love Carly. And no complaints about the sex either. And, he still identifies as a gay transvestite. Ultimately, they're just labels. And we don't let them completely define us, or limit us. Not anymore, anyway. We love who we love. Labels and gender are beside the point.
Maggie: So it's a real marriage. Cool!
Rocky: I'm glad you approve. We actually made the mistake of letting our labels define us for a long time. Carly and I have been best buddies since we met. We came close to hooking up once. I'd thought we were both women, and he thought we were both guys. Most awkward nude scene ever. But instead of getting past that, we backed off to being “just friends.” I think we believed we were respecting the other's nature.
Luna: Come to think of it, you two never have told us how you met.
Rocky: Maybe I will some day. Let's just say it involved a dark alley, 2 feet of snow, a loaf of day old bread, and four drunk assholes.
