Aoi wears a wig to cover the ravages of chemo and Ace may or may not still be wearing one, there's been plenty of time for his hair to grow back in our time, but in-comic time is hard to tell, it's now just the morning after the kittens first appeared but that was over four and a half months ago in the outer world. There's a sequence in the film where Maggie Cheung is firing two submachine guns at once. Jackie is lying at her feet. She falls forward and he reaches up and catches her shoulders with both hands.
