I wasn’t eligible for a leave of absence or family leave with work, but they are putting me down as re-hireable.
I miss-read the COBRA paperwork, and totally blew the deadline on applying, but Legacy may treat me as a charity case.
I may not get into any inpatient rehab, having no insurance , but I may get to go home soon. The hospital’s not very far from where I live, anyway. So I may be able to get back to producing the comic soon after all.

I’m currently at the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center (room 612) for at least another day. I’m not much for flowers, but I wouldn’t turn any away. Wouldn’t mind a visitor or two. Only family I have in the area is my mom and step-dad, and I’ve insisted they keep their vacation plans with my sister and some of the grandkids.
I should have some coverage. I’m eligible for COBRA coverage from the job I lost in May and got the paperwork (and payment) off in time. I actually filled it out just before I realized I needed to go to the hospital. So I should be good there.
Probably going to lose my job. I doubt they’d let me go over this, but the fact is, my handle times were too long (I’m too thorough) and this has probably cost me my chance to improve that. That’s the problem with call center work, they live and die by the numbers. Quality and resolution are important, but so is volume.

Looks like I’m going to be starting out on in-patient physical therapy for a while.
Lots of free time, but I’m afraid no TMI for quite a while. I can’t bring in my computer and Dino, my laptop, just isn’t up to running Poser.
Thanks to everyone with all the kind words, and I will concentrate on recovery. I do so want to get TMI going for you all again.

have to type one handed, i can’t tell what my left hand is doing well enough to touch type now, figures that the one hand i had been able to use for typing alone was the left
I still have the muscular strength, but most of the sensation is gone in my left arm and leg.
so, the mri says i’ve had a small stroke. recovery,or at least becoming functional again seems likely
just spent the night in the hospital. much of my left side is completely numb, nothing conclusive yet
