Apologies yet again. I’ve been down again with another nasty gum infection. Ended up in the ER at one point, tho not hospitalized. Looks like another tooth is going to have to go.
At least that means there’s only one more tooth in need of a root canal.
Anyway, I’ll get back to work on the comic. After all, I’ve got to knock out a dating disaster and an alien beach party before getting down to having a wedding…
I finally have all, well, almost all, of the comics tagged with chapters. May have missed one or two here and there. This should make finding old sequences easier.
Now I just need to see if there’s an easy way to set up a chapters list.
I have trust issues. So it’s hard to open up sometimes.
It’s long past time I got the site organized and cataloged. So I’m opening up the site to editors.
I need help with transcript entry, comic tagging including characters and location, creation of character and location pages, correcting minor errors on the comics and reminding me to get around to fixing the glaring errors.
Just say below or use the contact form to volunteer.
Thanks and Cheers!
Just letting you all know I’m not dead or in the hospital. Just a busy month.
I’m FINALLY caught up with the dishes. After doing most of the cooking. Karma for all the times I didn’t set foot in the kitchen.
I am working on a comic, but I have to run the car into the shop first thing in the morning. CV joint sounds like it gave out, in the middle of shopping, of course. So I’m turning in early.
I’ll shoot for having a comic up (and more of Barbi) by the First.
Those of you that subscribed to e-mail notifications got a flood of e-mails for old posts. I was going over old posts that I’d flagged private and reactivating the ones that had “historical” value. I didn’t realize that was sending new e-mails for those posts.
I’m done now. But you can also unsubscribe from future e-mails by a link on each mail.
Sorry about that.
Well, that was fun.
After installing a new SSD and loading the backup drive image onto it, it would not boot, no matter what. I searched the Internet and the best information I could find was to reset Windows. Pretty much start from scratch.
I have NEVER had a backup work for me. And we’re talking since the 90s.
But, I sort of wanted to do a clean install. I’ve been getting the “system busy doing nothing” a lot. So, I’m reinstalling anyway. Fortunately, I tend to keep my actual data as copies (not in encoded backups) in several locations. So, overall, I’m good.
Now, I’m going to run to Winco to get some chocolate cake (it’s my birthday) and some kimchi (gonna try pickling eggs in it).
So, how long has it been since I’ve had a total system crash?
Yeah. Computer was on. I took a nap. Screen was blank when I woke.
Sat down figuring on getting a comic done. It wouldn’t wake up. Reboot. BLUE SCREEN! Seems the boot drive won’t mount.
It’s a 240GB solid state drive for the operating system and programs. My data is on a network server and a portable drive. So it should be safe.
Unfortunately, my “image” (copy) of the boot drive is on the network server. Fat lot of good it does me there. So I’m waiting for that to copy to a USB drive using an old laptop.
Fortunately, I have spare drives, but that SSD sure booted fast…
