I feel real stupid I opened a account with Angelink instead of GoFundMe. I was tired, and I’Ld enter gofundme and first link delivered to an unknown brand.
I am inclined to give up.

Seems an easy mistake to make, and there’s nothing stopping you having both. Plus the Amazon list, and the paypal link (though the comments has cut half the QR code for that last, so maybe post it in your actual post?).
No worries. just try again – that Angellink one seems to be US only anyway, so I couldnt support you. Been wanting to for years 🙂 (I still say “sign up for Patreon”, after this one off to get your current bills under control!)
Please try again. A lot of people use patreon, kickstarter, etc, so already have accounts and it’s a known process. Kickstarter is for longer term financial goals but can be useful – it worked for Erfworld. Have a look at https://www.gofundme.com/c/questions .. it’s good to hear you are back on your feet. Hi Mr Blue Eyes
I would say as long as you are getting the money from the one you started not a bad mistake – if you aren’t getting the funds let people know.
Hello Andy,
after looking through the AngeLink FAQ, I want to remind you to set up withdrawal of funds before 72 days have elapsed from the first donation — otherwise you may lose the funds that were donated. The funds could also be returned to the donors, but there are weasel words to the contrary. That is just about 2 months, a month away from me writing here.
“Why is my fundraiser unable to accept donations?
This situation may happen if you haven’t set up withdrawals (as requested) within 72 days of your first donation. Please note that if a fundraiser received its first donation over 72 days ago and withdrawals have still not been set up, the fundraiser will be hidden and all donations will be refunded to the original donors or contributed to a similar charity, or to ACF. This is in compliance with banking requirements.”
The auto withdrawals on the 15th and 30th of the month occur after the initial withdrawal request. Given they are using a 3rd party, the (initial?) transaction is likely to take 5 business days. Make sure that you have no typos when you provide your banking information!
