If you’re thinking it can’t possibly have been a year since Grampy showed up… recall that he showed up right around the Christmas season, so he lost his house prior than that, then had his who-knows-how-long adventure across America, making his way here to Washington state.
Really all his line declares is that it’s at least January now. The span of time between losing his house to a hurricane and this page could be as short as two weeks, on the minimum end.
