Really have to sit down and watch this one someday. I enjoyed the recent Hollywood version, but except for Ranma1/2, I’ve not watched any Japanese animation since I was 10. Also have to see if I still like Ultraman as well.
Ranma 1/2 and Oh My Goddess are the two anime that I remember by far the clearest from when I started watching anime.
Might be worth your time to check out Ranmabooks.com then.
They make x-rated Ranma 1/2 art and books, but follow a not-for profit model where only the artists really get paid, very much a “by fans, for fans” Ranma site.
They kept the comedy. I like to think Rumiko Takahashi would have made hentai comics like this if she were a bit dirtier minded… and had MUCH higher art standards.
