Ace… you might not be quite as smart as you think.
Just because they are fast runners, doesn’t mean they don’t get tired. Look at cheetah: they are sprinters, not marathon runners
They are apparently not great sprinters either. Ace and Farah left them behind with little apparent difficulty.
There’s actually quite a few references throughout this arc to needing to keep feeding them to keep their performance up. Sounds like their whole race has issues with low blood sugar. Diabetic perhaps?
