I went 9 years between using my formal suit for weddings. The old one was bought in my late-20s, and I’d hoped to wear it again in my late 30s, but found it no longer fit and needed to be replaced. 8 years of lifting 200lb grandpas in and out of wheelchairs for work apparently built up my shoulders to the point they no longer fit in the jacket.
…which is the part I’m happy to tell people. No need to mention I couldn’t do up the pants anymore either. 😛
