And the speed with which her slurring her words tends to support that statement. Maddie is one of those people that I sometimes like and sometimes don’t like. She can get very demanding and occasionally acts as if those around her are only there for her pleasure or convenience. She does not have Rosa’s skill at getting people to agree with her by making a deal that benefits every one, so instead Maddie sometimes comes off as a bit of a rich brat. On the other hand, she rises to the occasion on many situations and shows a deeper side with a big caring heart.
In short, she is a delightfully 3D complex well developed character with a past and life considered by Andy even if we the audience never end up seeing it. It is this quality of writing and storytelling is a large part of what I love about this webcomic.
Just remember how long she has been a ‘spoilt rich brat’, basically getting what she wants when she wants it (unless Rosa says ‘no’)
She is starting to change, butt it will take time, and there will probably be times she will ‘slip’ back
