I DO recall him pretending not to be the landlord of his house so that he could avoid contentious conversations with tenants. Not known for screams of righteous outrage that shake the walls, is my point.
Scary voice is not a matter of volume but rather tone. Aoi does not share her son’s aversion to confrontation, so she has no qualms about expressing her displeasure but in this case she is also voicing a warning that someone will get hurt if she gets her hands on them.
And thus we learn where Carly got the ability to use the scary voice so effectively.
