Looks like “Idiot!” is “Baka” after all?
Very close in meaning, but the Japanese word carries an implication of “jerk” as well.
Someone who does moronic things that only hurts themselves might be an “aho” or “fool”, but a “baka” does moronic things that hurt or offend other people (usually the person calling them that… who is most often female).
Did they just line up to swat Ace in the face?
