It is a useful phrase. It easily translates out loosely to “Nothing more needs to be done about the issue and it really wouldn’t be healthy for you to know any more details than that.”
More that just that; it communicates that the problem has been resolved.
I’ve had people, when I raised an issue with them, say “don’t even worry about it”. Based on experience, that apparently translates to, “I’d tell you a lie, but I’m not bright enough to think up a good one.”
