Honestly you would think grav shoes would be standard issue on ship, even with a high grav gym, grav shoes would help with muscle loss so less trips to the gym, and if the ships gravity plating went offline for whatever reason people wouldn’t be left floating helplessly flailing trying to get to a wall or ceiling so their ship-suits can have something to grip to, assuming you don’t have the suit covering your feet in the first place like all Orion crew members tend to have.
Actually that was addressed. The shipsuit material that covers their feet can “cling”, so they can walk along any surface in zero-g fairly well, provided they lift one foot at a time.
The grav-boots, on the other hand, are a little more complicated than just sticking to surfaces. Not only are they fully inverting gravity’s force for Stormy (and Sky, 8 years back) which is the reason blood isn’t rushing to her head, they can also emulate higher gravity fields without having the entire ship’s grave plating increased. She can take the ship’s “Heavy Gym” with her wherever she goes.
Simple solution: have the shoes on over suit
