And this shows why I think Ace needs to consider what he says before it comes out of his mouth. I’m not concerned about him getting hurt, but of those he cares about getting hurt. This would not be a problem with someone whom understood English idioms like a native Carley, Aio, Maddie and Jaz might have teased him unmercifully, but they would not have gotten hurt. Culture also adds to the confusion, such as Kimi’s reaction to his comments about owing her one (in Japan a massage does not carry the same sexual implications it still does here in the USA.) I think it is unlikely that Akane would run home because of making such an error, but I also wouldn’t discount the possibility. Ace needs her to watch his back when he goes down those rabbit holes.
I’ve never thought a plain message as being sexual. A good message is great FOREPLAY however, and too many ‘message parlers’ serve ‘happy endings’. If it stays on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp, or feet it shouldn’t be considered as more than it is, if it strays passed those areas then it might be considered more.
