An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
As a guy who read a lot of X-men comics and watched the cartoon show as a kid in the 90s, and saw all the movies as an adult… I’m a bit annoyed that the only one of those names I recognize is of course Ororo. 🙁
One of the names is the code name for one of the early X-men. A winged handsome wealthy guy designated as Angel. He was in one of the movies (can’t remember his full name because I’m lousy with names, but his first name is Warren and he is the 3rd of that name. The others, I wonder if the problem is more that you’d recognize their designation names, but not the really names. Like Ororo being called Storm.
Fairly sure, there is a new, female, Angel
The only Misty am familiar with, is Misty Knight, butt she wasn’t an X-Man, not sure if she was even a mutant, and she was normally teaming up with Iron Fist and Luke Cage
Misty Knight was a human cop that after being involved in a situation with Iron Fist, quit to become a private investigator, she later lost an arm and became a cyborg. The Netflix version of Iron Fist follows her story til she lost her arm and Danny promised to help fix it.
Yeah, I know, Warren, a.k.a. “Angel”, who is definitely not a FEMALE X-men.
Anyone figure the rest of these out?
I also not, that Ace actually says “MOST” of these names are based on female X-men, so not all of them are necessarily X-men… but probably characters from that franchise.
For example:
Angel Salvadore ( https://x-men.fandom.com/wiki/Angel_Salvadore ) She spent time at the Xavier Institute, but ultimately became more of an enemy or antagonist to the X-men. You might actually remember her from the “First Class” movie, as the stripper with dragonfly wings. I think she’s the one who Andy had in mind. (If only by virtue of not finding any other lady “Angel”s.)
(groan) I get the feeling that Andy went hunting for OBSCURE X-men character names like that one.
He could have easily named them Jean (Grey), Emma (Frost), Marie (Rogue), Katheryn (“Kitty” Pride), Elizabeth (Psylocke), Jubilation (Lee), Wanda (Maximoff), or Raven (Mystique… actually hold on a second…)
Mystique… “Misty”. (duh. >_>)
Okay, so that’s three. I’ve got nothing for “DeeDee”, “Rebecca” or “Monica”. Someone else take up the research project, that was almost a successful in-joke.

Monica is Monica Rambeau. She’s not a member of the X-Men, either. lol
His name i “Warren Worthington III”.
The “i” should be “is”.
Warren Worthington, the 3rd. I believe.

Best Wikipedia page I’ve found for names of X-men is this one. I currently have a blinding headache so I haven’t searched the various names here.

It has been a long time, I first raed the X-men, in about 1963.
