An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.

I understand your concern, but rest assured that these worries are caused by the imprecise nature of the English language itself.
“Molecular Bond” sounds as though we’re talking about something that is physical, rather than energetic. At the atomic level & smaller, a physical connection results in a NEW material (& releasing a thermonuclear level of heat-&-light), not a bonding of 2 old materials. “Molecular Bond” is just our way of saying that the atoms in question are sharing an electron, “AKA”, having an electron that orbits more than one nucleus. When the nuclei fall-through the teraport’s micro-singularities, the transition is so fast that the ‘shared’ electron doesn’t have enough time to notice, during its orbital path. Nothing physical is actually being disconnected-then-reconnected. The nearest example I can offer on the “Human” scale of size is to picture yourself walking with your friend, & having the 2 of you briefly separated by a lamppost, as each of you passes it on opposite sides. The brief interval of separation wasn’t long-enough to alter either of you, physically or emotionally.
“Bread-&-Butter!”

“Howard Taylor teraport.”
Interesting implications. The webcomic exists in Andy’s universe.
And the green space babe aliens read it and remember it. They have good tastes.
Not sure the technologies quite match – I’m sure Kevin’s version was once described as a tear-a-part, rather than everything going together…
