Hm, I wonder if this is the reason he heals so fast. As I recall it has been stated that the nanos are not only the secret of immortality for the Delimun, but also vampires. So he could have gotten them when bitten by Samatha Hooper, or somehow from Lady Banshee, or some yet unknown. We still don’t know what happened to him that had him wake up with no memory of the previous days.
Yeah, I’d say his missing blackout days are still the most likely origin point.
It would be interesting to know when he started healing at an accelerated rate. We do know that the bite from Samantha healed unusually fast but he had a reaction almost like he got sick afterwards.
