An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
I never really saw a Carrie’s mother in her until I saw her in The Force Awakens. She was such a beautiful and intelligent woman. I loved how strong she was as both herself and as the character she will always be in my heart, the very amazing Princess, Leader of the Rebel Alliance, never merely an attachment to any man..Leia Skywalker Organa.
I also like Debbie Reynolds (loving musicals, how could I not) but I never saw the family resemblance between the two women until I saw Carrie until she matured. I miss both of them although as a sci -geek I am more familiar with the acerbic wit of the daughter.
And sometimes the resemblance is subtle as in the case of Carrie and her mother and sometimes it is deliberately downplayed as in the case of Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland. They don’t look alike but I once heard her sing one of her mother’s song and it was amazing.
Just realized I didn’t answer the question about her daughter. Yes, they were not subtle about the connection with giving her that particular hairdo. It was very well done.
Yeah, it’s probably about the only way anyone (not a complete nerd… not said negatively) would realise they were actually mother and daughter in real life
I tend to make an effort to not focus on the private lives of celebrities I really like. They have a difficult time achieving any sort of privacy, so I don’t want to risk invading what little they can have. As a direct result, I was not consciously aware of Carrie Fisher’s children. Once I heard her daughter was in the film, it was easy to figure out which character she was.
Yeah, the end of that year was downright painful.
Carrie, her mom a day later. End of 2016 was bad.

He meant Carrie’s mother, Debbie Reynolds

Sometimes, children don’t resemble their parents (Carrie’s daughter was in the last movie, did you spot her?)
