Sure; those scenes happen farther on.
This is just an introductory pinup to showcase the character design. It’s nice to get a full-page look at her (and other characters) at least once before shrinking her down into a few panels. ;P
The ‘introductive pinup’ is done because character design takes so long he doesn’t have time to make a comic, so he uses the pinup as a filler, and to introduce the character.
So many times I’ve looked at this, and only now noticed how out of place the dark pit of shadow over her shoulder is.
Her hair is Very Thick and casts a dark shadow. Barnabas Collins approves.
