An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
15 was the right age to make him here. Most US states set their Age Of Consent at 16.
Quite a lot of people THINK 18 is the “official” AOC, but there’s only 10 states that do. The tricky part is, one of those 10 is California, where an enormous amount of American media is produced, so anytime it’s mentioned in a sit-com, soap opera, or drama, 18 is treated like a magic number. 😛
18 is higher than normal in most other countries of the world also.
…I say, go for it X! 15 is not the same thing as 5! ^_^
There are a bunch of things that kick in at 18 in several but not all state of the USA. I tend to think of 16 to 25 as the time period where you are expected to act like an adult, but they still treat you like a child. My personal opinion is that a static age of consent is useless since people mature at different rates.
And treating a young adult like a child is well-documented as being counterproductive to their developing maturity as well.
There was a time, barely more than a century ago, two at most, when we had no real word or concept for “teenagers”. You were considered an adult about the time you could start doing an adult’s work on the farm (so about 14). You had adult responsibilities and were expected to act like it (not expected to get everything right on the first try of course).
Humans don’t become mature first and then take on adult responsibilities; that isn’t how reality works, at any age. We take on adult responsibilities and mature in order to meet them.
Note the crew member exchanging a couple words with X in Orion. You won’t see that much. Everyone here speaks fluent English. There’s a lot of more specific backstory justifying this, but the short version is they are big fans of Earth entertainment!
And for some reason, no one Earthside is producing DVDs with Orion subtitles, so it’s English they’ll be a-learnin’!

Methinks Andy is something of an EC comics fan
