When Larry’s happy, you know something’s not right.
↓ Transcript
Larry comes up quietly behind Ace and claps a hand to his shoulder.
Larry: ACE!! You dog!
Ace: Larry! Do I have to put a bell on you?
Larry: You know, Ace, I knew you were sharp but I didn't know you had it in you.
Ace: What are you plotting this time Larry?
Larry: If we handle this right, the publicity will be awesome! We might have to move you into marketing!
Larry: I'll set up a press conference for tomorrow morning. Wear that black shirt the Media seems so wild about.

Ace really needs a better set up for his office. If his back is against the wall and his desk between hi. and the door, then Larry wouldn’t be able to sneak up on him so easily. The getting lost in his work I have no clue how to help and if anyone figures a way around that one I’d be happy to be let in on rhe technique myself. I had a co-worker convinced I was up to something because I was always startled when she came in to a semi dark back room where I was focused on paperwork.
The issue is more meta than you’re thinking.
Ace’s office is arrange poorly deliberately so Andy can have Larry swoop in for these jump-scare scenes.
