I think I need a cigarette. And I don’t smoke.
na-Nilina
I have no idea what a Denisovan is and still I’m stunned.
Rusty
An interesting hypothesis. I believe I could arrange funding for a full study.
Luna
Who would fund a study like that?
Rusty
I would.
Other Awakened might also be interested. It would be a great opportunity to learn more about Orion biology and pre-Dilmun history.
Luna
You have that kind of money?
Rusty
Your brother isn’t the only one to come out ahead after the Serling Incident. I was awarded 800 cycles of back pay, at current rates.

Sky doing the synthesis thing with Luna was that great an experience she needs a cigarette?
It was the simultaneous orgasm at the end.
800 years of back pay.. that is a lot of dosh to be had.
Orions have their own units of time, so those aren’t years.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind at all of Andy was considerate enough to shoot us quick conversions in the notes below the page whenever these Orion units come up. With the amount of time passing between mentions, or finding the pages where the conversion rates were explained waaaay somewhere back in the archives, it’s very hard for readers to remember.
I’m sure I’ve called it out before. An Orion cycle is very close to 8/10ths of a year. About 292 days, which just happens to match the Earth conjunctions (closest and furthest points) to Venus. A Centi-cycle is just under 3 T-days, and a Deci-cycle is just a bit over 29 T-days. I have a spreadsheet, but it’s a mess.
Okay, so a Deci-cycle is approximately a month, how many months in an Orion-year?
Oh, right, d’uh! 10 months 🙁
