Police always seem shocked when people’s first thought isn’t “Gee, you know what might deescalate this troublesome conflict? A bunch of trigger-happy armed thugs, with near-total legal immunity for any consequences of needless violence, all dressed in the same pajamas. I’m sure that will calm things down, despite the massive, overwhelming track record to the contrary!”
Or maybe, let th cops know that an illegal is in country who may or may not be involved in some illegal activities, and let them do their job before things get worse
They had time enough to set this farce up, but not enough time to inform the proper authorities? Mayhaps if they had, Ace wouldn’t have ended up stabbed (or worse)
