My partner and I were up doing repairs on a roof when it started to rain, so we were frantically covering as much area as we could with plastic tarps. Plastic on plywood does not make for secure footing and we both slipped at the same time. There was no time to think it through, so we both just reacted by reaching out and catching each other’s hand. I then put as much of me as flat as possible on the surface hoping to create enough friction to stop both of us from sliding right off the edge. It worked and we both got off the plastic and down the ladder. I’ve never been so happy that a quick plan worked perfectly.
