Weather the water moves something depends on its density. His very large body has lots of area water can push. Add the fact that he has body fat that floats, and his lungs are full of air, and his weight per cubic inch isn’t very high. The metal flashlight with high density batteries that is very skinny has little surface to push, and is extremely heavy per cubic inch. Drop a flashlight and a person in a pool and the light will hit the bottom, the person wil tend to float back up.

There’s also the factor of how close each is to the rushing water going down the drain, Ace is right over the drain, and the flashlight is far away next to the wall.
