Gabrial (sic) is wearing the same kind of neck piece that Ace wearing (and apparently all he was wearing) was in the comic of 2021-01-1.
Due to the long time between new content, and my faulty memory, I have no idea if this is some kind of standard equipment, or just a fashion statement.
Is there anyone who can bring me back up to speed on this? It seems like it might be significant.
I believe it’s his shipsuit. Not sure if the other clothes are, like, real clothes or also part of his shipsuit.
The ship suit can be condensed down to a collar. This lets you be pretty much naked while still protected in case something goes wrong and the area you are in loses atmosphere. In event of decompression it turns into full body suit with gloves and helmet.
There are other cloths such as the shielded shorts issued to all the men as extra protection for their testicles.
@Oberon if i remember correctly that is the spacesuit in it’s most minimized form. Considering he’s wearing regular clothes i assume he doesn’t care for it.
I wonder if that also explains his grey legs?
Based on the continued rendering of his legs in the same way, on the next page, I’m assuming that this is either skin-tight leggings, or else his ship-suit.
During Ace’s previous space-visit, it was shown that the ship-suit could be programmed to display any color, including skin-tones.
With all the female Orions that must have been visiting him I’m surprised Gabe has the strength to answer the door.
I can vouch for how little strength is required to answer the door if there is a possibility of answering to a female requesting companionship.
Or life/energy giving takeout delivery.
I’m gonna go with Gabe taking meals in chambers to reduce the exposure so he has a survivable workload, while eliminating the possibility of getting a reputation of being excessively picky.
From what I’ve seen all Orions are fairly well all top specimens of attractiveness, I’m not sure there’s much to be picky about in that crowd.
I mean I guess if Gabrial decided to only sleep with the brunets, or whatever, but that seems like a rather silly hypothetical criteria to me.
@[Oberon]:
Bear in mind also that the HUGE majority of those Orions we’ve seen so-far have been spaceship crew-members, & physically-unfit individuals are not prime candidates for crew-positions. The preferred “profile” is for people who can face physical hardship WITHOUT needing the constant help of their fellow crewmates. Just think about all the training that NASA puts their astronaut-candidates through.
OK, the typos and misspelled words are triggering my OCD something fierce. It took several readings to figure out that “Charty” was Gabe’s mother Charity, nevermind the Gabrial and “formities” for “formalities”. Not trying to complain, just triggered.
Not complaining, just letting Andy know
Or as they say crowd-sourced proofreading.
@[Opus the Poet]:
While you “beat me to the draw”, that doesn’t mean that I feel your “triggered” pain any less.
I’m going to assume either Andy doesn’t read comments, or fixing the problems with the page without completely recreating the page were insurmountable.
Whether it’s his new social-status, or just his new relationship-status with Ace, I’d say that yes, Gabe IS looking forward to this.
π
In most of the previous interactions that we’ve seen between these 2, Ace has NOT tried to actually “put him down”, but he HAS managed to point-out a number of ‘flaws’ in Gabe’s plans. It must be liberating for Gabe to be interacting with people who hold him in such high esteem — not just for his DNA (or for his connection to Ace), but also for his insightful creative notions.
So… you update monthly now, I guess? π
He updates when he’s able to.
