Lay man’s translation: We could’a got killed!
3 tore out and 1 held, causing it to swing on the last screw. The swing ripped the head off the last screw causing it to fall. Since it was swinging when it started to fall, it kept moving sideways (laterally) as it fell. Still technical, but simple.
I don’t think this webcomic’s audience had any trouble following Ace’s explaination, but one imagines not many of us speak English as a second language and have only had a year or two to practice with it.
Too technical for the Japanese girls, not the rest of us.
