Dress is lovely, but her hair looks permed with the curls too tight. Looks cute, but softer curls might look more beautiful and mature.

I agree with you, though I am pretty sure the pig-tailed style was picked deliberately to help establish her role as the “little sister”. As time went on and her character became well established, Andy doesn’t need to “show” who she is anymore.
Always thought that the pigtails were her mom’s doing to “just keep her a little girl” as long as possible.
