Andy, I want to thank you for this one. I lived in Japan for 3 years during my childhood (we lived off base) and I have fond memories of that time. The various events around this time were very painful and shocking for me. This strip very eloquently expresses exactly how I felt and still feel.
This was originally posted after a severe tidal wave wrecked Japan’s coast, causing a major nuclear reactor to leak Radioactive water into the bay. The life toll, property & ecological damage was severe.
