An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
Some people commented that if Uncle Gary hadn’t given Ace the extra 5% that he would still have controlling interest. I think at this time it is a good thing that he did that. Imagine being caught between your business and your wife. If he forgave his wife, employees might feel they are less important than his family. If he chose to have her charged, he would be destroying his family. In a lot of ways Ace is in a better position to make the call.
This is only 50%, Gary had 50. Without the 5% they would have equal shares. With it Ace controls more than half the shares and has control of the company
We actually don’t know for certain what Gary’s ownership of this company is. There could be other silent shareholders, particularly if it’s incorporated. We can presume he has been the largest shareholder up to this point, so it must fall somewhere between 21-45%.
There’s a viewpoint to consider here; Gary is in an ugly position of potentially charging his own wife with fraud and grand theft… but if Ace is (technically) a majority shareholder… he can pass the buck for this awkward decision to him… and Charity already hates Ace anyway.
