An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
Telephone was how I remember it back in the seventies. It made sense to me given that the garbled message at the end was pretty close to the mangle my hearing made of most conversations over the telephone. I really don’t care much for phone conversations. even with improvements in the sound quality.
In retrospect… probably a subtle lesson to teach kids about believing everything they hear. Wouldn’t be too surprised if someone dumbs it down even farther and just calls it “The Rumor Game” one of these days.
Also known as a game of Telephone.
As a kid, before all the PC-nonsense, it was called “Indian Whispers”
We called it “Chinese Whispers.” And I’m pretty sure I saw someone calling it that on-line a month or two ago.

Same for me, and “telephone” was an actual game we’d play in Boy Scouts or at summer camps.
