Whether you can read the language or not, there’s a degree to which form must follow function; a degree of logic and practicality to how things need to be built (and if they work like they’re supposed to, it’s safe to assume they were built reasonably well).
In the end, it’s a puzzle of logic and numbers and symbols… and we were already given a peek at how good Little Ace is at complex puzzles.

Precisely, and in the case of switching on/off light, or muting the sound of the alarm, it could be expected to be done by flipping a single switch/hitting a single button.
Launching a nuclear warhead could be expected to involve a complicated protocol with keys and codes, but turning on the light or anything as daily trivial will very likely have very simple commands.
