They definitely don’t appear to have the muscle mass (side effect of spending all their lives in a fraction of Earth’s gravity, no doubt) to either intimidate anyone or enforce any kind of slavery system that wasn’t 100% technologically dependent methods of control… and when any healthy 200lb Earth man can just casually pull the phaser rifle out of your weak little Orion hands, probably out run, jump, wrestle, and fight you too… well the new rebellion probably wouldn’t take that long. We’re not so primitive anymore we can’t figure out which end of the fancy space gun to point at our captors either.
there’s a line a few pages back when they tell Ace about the lower gravity that seems to umply that they maintain the lower gravity to save power…
I think I’m going to try and decode the units this archive crawl for people who don’t have charts in front of them.
