An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.

Given the (lack of) context, that’s a fair response.
However, I believe that both prefer to identify as female, most of the time. Was I mistaken?
(__ meanwhile, there are times when Carly has admitted to his friends that being male is also a part of who he is __)
As I understand it, a proper hysterectomy might leave the ovaries in place, for their hormone-producing benefits.
However, if Jaz had had a less … “shady” … procedure, she most-likely would’ve avoided the medical complications that made her barren. If she still had her ovaries, then her eggs might still be harvested, fertilized “in vitro”, & implanted into a surrogate. Instead, she’s flat-out said that she can’t have children.
Whether the ovaries are left in depends on the risk. often a botched abortion will result in an infection that requires they be removed along with everything else, especially if the infection has spread up through the fallopian tubes. Jaz has (or will) made reference to having all of her plumbing removed, and her description of her ordeal leads me to suspect this was the case. MN
Point to the woman in the room without actual ovaries.
