The simple answer is to tell the audience to not think about C’thulu.
C’thulu is the name of my old neighbor’s Chihuahua. The one before that was Cujo. Both of them had about the same personality around males…

No, but it would at least get you to an intimidating form. Although with the popularity of all things C’thulu, it would still get an “Aaaaaw, I want that!” from most geeks and nerds. Fortunately the burglars did not sound intelligent enough to qualify for those titles.
