Which is why we really should give the killers, numbers and never use their names. Their victims’ names should be placed on a memorial placard and honored.
Or just refer to killers by their victims? “The nutjob who killed…” gives proper contempt to the killer and remembers the victim in one stroke.
Can see, and kinda understand, the sentiment, butt the murderers need to be remembered for their actions, and if you ignore their name, then you are separating them from their crime
Problem with that is that many of them are looking for a low skill way to everlasting fame, and by using their name or image, you are giving them exactly what they want.
Thus the XKCD suggestion to refer to all the mass shooters as Some Asshole. Some Asshole shot 21 people in Uvalde 2 years ago, etc. etc.
